The games the same. Why every netball game deserves a smart warm-up.

Whether you’re stepping on court competitively or catching up with mates for a mid-week social game, one thing stays the same - Netball puts the same demands on your body. Sprinting, jumping, changing direction and stopping hard, these movements don’t change, no matter the level you play.

Warming up well matters for everyone.

Many competitive players already make the NetballSmart Dynamic Warm-up (NSDWU) part of their routine. But for social players, it’s often the first thing to go, that’s why we’ve created a social warm-up. Rushing from work, juggling kids, or just wanting to get the game started means the body is asked to go from zero to 100 in seconds. This increases your risk of injury and can put an end to your social season.

The good news is that warming up doesn’t need to be long or complicated. We’ve created a social warm up knowing that time and space are often tight – and something is better than nothing!

A few minutes of preparation will help players move better, play with more energy, and reduce the risk of common issues like ankle sprains and knee injuries.

Remember, the game is still the same – and your body deserves the same preparation.

Make the NetballSmart social warm-up part of your game.
